10 Things to do for 2010

Late fees is some bullshit. Quit letting them people get you on late fees and overdraft fees. I pay everybody on the 1st of the month now. I don’t care if the bill is due on the 10th you gon' get this money on the first. At least I know I don’t owe nobody shit til' the next 1st. You pretty much know what the bill is gonna be anyway so give them that cash before the due date. Just because you ignore the bill don’t mean it’s gonna go away. I have a reminder in my phone for certain bills. And if it’s something like a gym membership that is debited every month then just pay them for the year. Don’t allow them to dip they ass in your account whenever you want. Just pay them for 12 months and be done with it. If you dedicate January and February to paying people up then you get 10 months of worry free. Be a month ahead on they asses.
- Leave 09 people in 09.
Let’s be real. Most folk should have never made it into 09. What the hell is wrong with your self-esteem that you can’t leave them alone? I find it funny how everybody that calls me wants to move forward and you reach a hard spot and go backwards. I just seen a female with her ex that she swore she would never go back too. When you do that it really makes you look bad ass hell. *Bottom line* the shit didn’t work. Why you tryin’ to beat a dead horse. You look real stupid every time you with that person that you complained about so much. As far as friends go if they don’t support, protect, or help then they not your friend. Goes for family too. Let’s try not to use the term friend loosely anymore. If you call yourself a friend to someone then you need to learn to support, protect, or help. Shit I do that for people who are not my friend. Builds better character.
- Work on Consistency/Goals
So you sit down and write down goals that you never accomplished. The problem is that you’re afraid of commitment. Afraid that you might fail or you get lazy and say I will do it tomorrow. Well “tomorrow” is a bunch of bullshit. That’s the best excuse you can come up with is tomorrow? How about you get your lazy ass up and do it today and you can focus on tomorrow when it gets here. Don’t get in the habit of making up excuses cause that shit is getting old.
- Don’t be a punching bag for other peoples problems that don’t want or take heed to a solution.
Some people just gon’ call you and tell about their problems. Problem is they got the same damn problems every week. Part of learning is applying the new knowledge so you don’t have the same problem. I had to tell someone don’t call me no more. I truly don’t wanna hear that same shit every week. You just don’t want to change. Don’t transfer you’re energy over here. Shit I’m trying to get it and here you come calling me with that same shit. Believe it or not some people like drama. They may act like they don’t, but they do. That’s why it’s the same shit every time they call cause they enjoy it. I ain’t mad at you for calling with problems just don’t call me. You really need to seek counseling and try to figure out why you’re addicted to drama.
- Read a book
Consistently read a book and dedicate at least an hour and a half a week to reading it. Whether it be 30 minutes 3 times a week or however you work that out. And if you don’t like to read purchase the audio and listen to it while you’re driving. It will do you better than the radio or that rap or R&B cd.
- Get a Real Focus
Whatever you focus on becomes your passion. Instead of focusing on getting a man/woman or scoring the next peace of ass you should focus on that business idea or establishing relationships with people worth knowing. I could bang every bad chick, but it doesn’t pay me one dollar so sex would be placed at the bottom of the list. When you’re active you will have men/women come find you or you will find yourself around more people cause you’re more actively focused.
- Do right by who matters.
I see people who will bend over backwards for a girl/guy, but won’t do the same for their own mother or father. At the end of the day if you needed somewhere to sleep you can’t go to they house. I would go out of my way for people who look out for me. I would not go out of my way just to gain attention or affection from someone. Nowadays you may not be around past a month so I may as well save my energy. Drinks and chillin’ is cool, but helping you move, taking you shopping, or doing anything extra that I ain’t never done for my own mother then that would get a good ol’ Hell Naw!
- Keep your word
Give a solid yes or no answer. No more maybe or probably. Problem I see now is nobody can keep they damn word or they give a vague ass answer. Just give a straight up ass answer and keep it moving. When people say shit like “I don’t want to say yes and not keep my word” that means you’re flaky. If you say yes then do what you have to do to keep that yes. And watch what type of mood you are in when you agree to stuff. When you’re happy you say yes, but you know next week you really didn’t mean it
- If somebody is fake in the beginning then believe them.
Seems like people get in the habit of standing people up or saying they will do something and don’t do it. After 3 times or a consistent pattern you cut them off. You really ain’t gotta put up with that shit. I just met you and your pattern is already bad. I couldn’t imagine actually liking you. Send them a “seems like your busy so get at me” text and keep it moving. I den already told people early so in 2010 they can’t act brand new-ish when they see I ain’t called they ass. And clearly if someone doesn’t reply to your text or your calls then that’s an automatic cut-off, but I’m hoping you already know that. And if you don’t know then you do now.
- Grudges
DO NOT!!! Bring up the past hurts, discuss past hurts, listen to someone else’s past hurts, or hold grudges with people that hurt you. Most of us are holding weak ass grudges anyway. Molest me as a child is crucial, but if I’m mad at you over a chick or something you said then that would make me weak as hell. When you can’t be in the same room with somebody then you need to check your heart. You need to figure out why you holdin’ on to old shit. When people say stuff like “I don’t want to go cause they gon’ be there” then that would make you a weak ass individual. Honestly, if that person were to die today could you sit at their funeral and be comfortable with the reason you stayed mad at them.

I am pretty sure you are some type of mind reader because this will be my mantra for 2010. I am so tired of carrying other peoples BULLSHIT. If you aren't trying to heed my advice the stop asking me for it. Or better yet, stop telling me your tired problems.
